Community Health Overview
At UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Division of Community Health, we envision all children growing into healthy and thriving adults.
We work together with UPMC Children’s Hospital, other healthcare systems, and community partners to improve health outcomes, reduce health disparities, and elevate quality of life for children and families in the communities where they live, learn, work and play. Healthy Early Childhood
Healthy Early Childhood is an initiative of Children’s Health and Prevention efforts that support the youngest children in our community to grow up healthy and thriving. In partnership with local early childcare programs, family centers, and families, Children’s utilizes Go NAPSACC’s evidence-based tools and resources to build healthy eating and physical activity habits in children up to age 5. If you are a Pennsylvania early childhood provider, you can request access to the Go NAPSACC tools here.
